Province of Pesaro-Urbino (Italy)
The province of Pesaro and Urbino is the intermediate local government body between the municipalities of the territory and the region Marche. It is made up of 67 municipalities and 6 mountain communities, with a total population of about 361.000 inhabitant on. 289.241 square km. It represents the whole territory and its population, with its interests; it fosters and coordinates development in a harmonic concept of the latter, particularly focusing on:
- fostering the participation of citizens and local bodies to political choices;
- pursuing the improvement of life quality, the development and the care for employment and environment.
It also pursues the overcoming of any discrimination through social policies aimed at developing the person, even if not advantaged, particularly fostering interventions for disabled, young and old people, as well as families. Moreover, the province provides tourist and economic enhancement of the whole territory through education activities and through the implementation of socio-economic policies, together with other bodies within the territory.
The province of Pesaro and Urbino takes part to the actions described in the application form on WP 2, WP3, WP 5 and WP6. More exactly, it cooperates with the other partners to initiatives/actions described here above:
