According to the law 469/97 “Transference to the Regions and the Local Public Administrations of functions concerning the politics for labour” and the Regional Law 38/98 the Province of Ancona was attributed further functions concerning the management of job agencies and the constitution of bodies for the government of the local job policies. Furthermore, the Italian Provinces, through the Professional Training Centres called Ce.lo.fo. – Centro Locale per la Formazione, have the following functions: realization and management of courses for the professional training of workers financed by the European Social Fund; management of IFTS courses, apprenticeship and Training Courses; monitoring of the training needs and at distance training concerning several economic fields.
The Province of Ancona is responsible for the realization and co-ordination of the Work Package n. 4 whose aim is to contribute to the creation of a deeper and wider interest towards the theme of accessibility, by acting on the cultural sphere of the public and private operators working in the field of tourism and leisure time.
This action is implemented through the following means: training, the creation of a methodological guide for accessible tourism, the promotion of the concept of accessibility on the territory (operators, public institutions, experts, etc.). Through the promotion of a formative/informative campaign for the operators on this field it is possible to contribute to change the culture and the attitude towards those citizens having special needs, thus contributing to create a stronger co-operation and solidarity. The Vocational training organized in the context of the WP4, structured as at distance general and specific training modules, will take into consideration the different levels of consciousness as concerns accessibility and will be suitable for a wide and general public.
Hence, the modules planned will be in part general, as already stated, and specific for a more conscious and trained audience belonging to specific professional categories.
The training experience will represent a valid tool to create a methodological guide which will be distributed to the operators in the field of tourism.
The final objective of the WP4 is the promotion of the concept of accessibility at every level of analysis, so that any initiative promoted will imply a positive change in many fields of intervention.
