Municipality of Forlì (Italy)
The Municipality of Forlì is an autonomous local government body. It represents the community of the city and its interests, fostering its development and governing it as autonomously as stated in the constitution and the other laws. It fosters the cultural, social and economic development of this community. It encourages the participation of all citizens, pursuing ideals of peace, peaceful coexistence, solidarity and economic integration. Within its activities it promotes the effective acknowledgement of EU regulations.
The municipality of Forlì is involved in the C.A.R.E. project for the implementation of the following activities:
- detection of the existing local publications related to accessibility and leisure;
- definition and sharing of questionnaires for detecting people with special needs;
- analysis of local needs for leisure services for disabled people through the distribution of questionnaires;
- contribution to the definition of a “statute of the hospitable city”, shared by all partners;
- detection of services and structures (e.g. theaters, parks, restaurants, etc.) which characterize the leisure offer of the City of Forlì, and which will be included into a European thematic network of accessible cities;
- contribution to the realization of the network of accessible cities;
- research analysis of the events/markets/trade fairs where an event related to accessibility can take place.
