How to enter and use FAD
Subscription
Before you start the courses, you have to subscribe by using the appropriate form, entering the required information and choosing your own User id and Password (The minimum number of characters of your password is 4). Furthermore you are required to agree to the Privacy Regulations in order to protect your personal information.
After sending the request, you will receive a confirmation mail where you will be invited to click on a link to start up your subscription. The request is valid for 24 hours maximum.
At the first login, it is necessary to view, from the general menu, the Available Courses, by entering the user id and password (selected on the subscription of your form).
Then select the course by clicking on the course title. From the following login you will view only the selected course.
How to navigate
Once you have clicked on the title of the course you have been subscribed, you enter the roundup card of the course and from the menu (on the top) “go to the course” you finally enter the teaching modules and units.
From the general menu you may also view the other available courses.
Green bar and time-keeper
Under the header with CARE logo a bar appears in the middle. The green colour of the bar gets darker as the student fills in the sections.
On the right 2 time-keepers appear, the former refers to the course session the latter refers to the total time.
Lesson area
The presentation of teaching modules and units is organized like common folders. Once you have clicked on the sign “+” of each lesson, of the insights and on the icon you can see lesson, it is possible to download the file on your pc (use the function Save - not the open function - to download and browse the file, without active connection too).
After the browsing or downloading, a green disk, which shows the completion of the teaching unit, appears on the right of all the elements.
Only when all modules have been completed (the insights are excluded), you can enter the “Final evaluation test” (up to now the symbol of a padlock is viewed).
The test can be carried out only once. After completing the test, you can continue with “Ask for the certification”: which will be sent by e-mail to the address written on the subscription. The certification is strictly personal and mentions the kind of course you have attended.
Acrobat PDF
The files which can be download are in PDF format; they can be read by Adobe Acrobat Reader, a software which is normally installed in your pc. If this programme is not available, it may be downloaded free of charge from:

Messages
The system also includes an integrated web mail service (Messages menu) where students can receive and send messages from/to their teachers or the other students. Students’ addresses are automatically registered on the subscription.
In the mailing list teachers’ addresses, who you may send messages to, appear first. Messages may be sent not only to teachers and students but also to the System Manager to signal any technical problems.
